Cleveland Cavaliers really took advantage of his absence. As a team they outscored Golden State Warriors by sixteen points in the paint and eighteen in transition. Without Green hounding them on switches and protecting the rim, James and K.Irving went off.
They became the 1st teammates to score over fourty points each in the Finals, and their eighty-two combined points powered the C.Cavaliers' offense to a 112-97 gain.It was a great performance from the 2 stars in the biggest game of the year.
The question is, will Cleveland Cavaliers be able to have a repeat performance in Game six? It's not just that Green will be back Lebron James and K.Irving will not likely be as efficient with their scoring either way. Kyrie hit very tough shots while Lebron James, who was averaging 32 percent on 3 pointers during the playoffs, went 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.
On the other complete of the spectrum, S.Curry missed eight of his ten uncontested shots. If the stars' shooting step back toward respective normalcy, C.Cleveland could be in trouble.
